That is why Smet Staircases offers CPD accredited sessions, tayloring specifically to architects and designers passionate about staircase design. We focus on the latest trends, the variety of materials, building regulations and budgets, but also on technical issues that might occur when drawing that one of a kind staircase.
Our Goal
We want to share our knowledge on staircases with other professionals. Through years of experience designing, manufacturing and installing staircases, we have come to understand all the complexitities of staircases. From technical considerations to challenges with lay-out, we have learned to seek innovative solutions for unique architectural constraints. These experiences have taught us the value of adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning. By tackling real-world issues, our workshops provide practical insight that empower the attendees to tackle their own projects with greater confidence.
What you learn
In short, our workshops provide a comprehensive look into the design, manufacturing, and installation of bepoke staircases. With an introduction to our company, you get a sense of our product and our Clientele, as well as the materials we use for the manufacturing of the staircases. You'll gain insights into our end-to-end process, from initial Client consultation to final installation and aftercare. Further, and most importantly, we will, through a case study, discuss some common challenges, such as space constraints, design feasibility, and managing Client expectations. Budget considerations are key, and we'll explore how different design choices can influence the cost. We want to ensure you leave our session with a thorough understanding of our staircase design process.
