Ready to slide into the weekend?
We are very proud to present one of our recent projects in Windsor, in close collaboration with Shiplake Homes.
Four storeys, three flights, two very excited Clients and one slide going down into the basement.
From Drawings to 3D Design
The Clients had big ideas for their new build family home. A slide into the basement was one of them.
Needless to say we were up for the challenge!
The design team of Bespoke Lifestyle designed two flights of stairs to get to the First and Second Floor, and a fully curved slide down to the basement area, with next to it a fully curved staircase, to get back up of course.
At the initial stage, this was visualised through drawings.
For the top two flights, the combination of a two-tone finish with black steel spindles was chosen.
For the bottom flight a glass balustrade made the most sense, because it keeps as much of the light as possible in a darker space, and… you can look at the slide as you go up.
The 3D renders gave the Client a pretty good impression of what was to come.
From Concept to Reality
The concept that was designed was transformed into three real-life staircases in our workshop.
While we focused on the staircases, the slide was being manufactured by playground and slide manufacturer Massey & Harris.
The end result is all we and the Client hoped for...
The house is designed to be timeless and peaceful, and the staircases blend in with that design perfectly.
A slide is a must-have item in every house, according to this lovely family....
